    How can Meža Enerģija guarantee the best price on the market?

    Meža Enerģija is not an intermediary and they are not involved in any of the processes, we ourselves provide logging, transport, processing, as well as export of timber. The forest owner, cooperating with Meža Enerģija, receives the highest price per trunk.

    How do I find out the value of my forest?

    To find out the market value of your property, apply for a valuation by filling out an electronic application or contact our specialists personally by calling 62 60 6000.

    How soon will I receive a quote for my property?

    We are interested in providing an answer as soon as possible, usually a price calculation without a survey in nature can take up to two working days.

    What factors affect the price of the forest property or felling area?

    The value of the property or felling area is influenced by many different factors – tree composition, age, soil peculiarities, wood quality, therefore the exact price of the property can be calculated after its physical survey in nature.

    When will the forest owner receive the payment for the forest property?

    The payment for the concluded transaction is fully transferred to the account of the forest owner or an authorised person on the transaction conclusion date. If necessary, we also offer advance payments.

    What documents are required to prepare the forest property for sale?

    If you plan to sell forest properties, the only required document is that the property is registered in the Land Register. If it hasn’t been done yet or you need help, we can help you do it.

    What documents are required, if I plan to sell a felling area?

    If you already have a felling certificate, then we need sketches for the parts to be felled and a dasting layout (if this hasn’t been done, contact us and we will do it for you). If you don’t have a felling certificate, then we will need an up-to-date forest inventory and, based on the information available there, we will prepare a development and restoration fund for you, so that you get the highest income.

    How long does the sale of the forest property take?

    Each case is individual, however, from the moment of receipt of the application to the signed purchase agreement and payment of the transaction, the fastest execution is possible within 48 hours, taking into account the availability of the notary.

    Does Meža Enerģija pay taxes in case of sale of a felling area?

    Yes, when we buy a felling area from the forest owner, we withhold personal income tax (PIT) in accordance with the procedure provided for by law and pay it in the state budget, the forest owner no longer has to worry about it.

    What taxes are applicable to the forest owner when selling a forest property?

    Our specialists will provide consultations in each specific case, because each case of the forest owner is different (when and how the property has been acquired, how long it has been owned, etc.), however, the tax payment in the state budget after the sale of the property will have to be made by the forest owner.

    What steps must be taken to obtain a felling certificate if I plan to sell a felling area?

    Our specialists provide all necessary services to obtain a felling certificate – instrumental survey, forest inventory, tracing of the areas to be felled and dasting of the wood supplies.
