Forest inventory – taxation
In accordance with the State Forest Service regulations, every forest owner must update the forest inventory or taxation plan at least once every 20 years. Forest inventory will allow to obtain complete information about the tree species growing in the forest, their heights, diameters, types of growth conditions and wood supplies in cubic meters.
Forest inventory data contains information on:
forest land types in forest management,
timber resources at the level of forest stands (plots),
environmental and natural resource protection zones, biologically significant forest structure elements,
forest infrastructure objects (natural roadways, glades, water intake points, etc.)

Is forest inventory a free service?
If the forest inventory is carried out in order to obtain a felling permit for a transaction with Meža Enerģija, then the service is free of charge. In other cases, it is a paid service and its price starts from 8.00 EUR/ha, the minimum price of the service starts from EUR 150.00.

What documents are required to start forest inventory?
In order to carry out forest inventory, the forest owner needs current forest data and boundary plans, which can be obtained from the State Land Service at any time.

Is a contract for the performance of works concluded?
Before starting the works, a cooperation agreement is concluded, agreeing the terms of performance of works, the cooperation and payment conditions.

Who will carry out forest inventory?
Forest inventory will be carried out by a certified specialist – inspector, guaranteeing the highest quality of the performance of works.
